Living life well - it’s The Poacher’s Way

The Poacher’s Way is a collection of wonderful regional experiences inspired by life and land and it’s right here on our doorstep.

Take some time out to immerse yourself in the lifestyle and passions of local  artists, chefs, winemakers,  and rural hosts who each have an inspirational experience  to share and fascinating story to tell.

The Poacher’s Way brings together 25 local businesses and like-minded people who have come together to create a range of experiences for locals and visitors to enjoy. Located throughout the Canberra region from Gunning to Gundaroo, Bowning to Bungendore and everywhere in between, you’re sure to find fantastic products, new experiences and interesting people.

Featuring local produce, old-style techniques and good quality ingredients you’re sure to be delighted by dining experiences along The Poacher’s Way at Grazing - Gundaroo, Silo Bakery – Canberra, Cork Street Gallery Café – Gundaroo, Poacher’s Pantry – Hall, and in the garden at podfood – Canberra.

The wines of the Canberra region have come of age recently and are now regarded as some of the finest drops in the land, experience them for yourself at, Lambert Vineyards – Bungendore, Lerida Estate – Lake George, Jeir Creek Wines, Clonakilla Winery and Shaw Vineyard Estate all near Murrumbateman or Pialligo Estate Winery near the airport and the Mt Majura Vineyard on the outskirts of Canberra.
